As much as I’d like to wriggle out from under this truth, in 2 Thesalonians 1:3-12, God uses persecution to bring them closer to him. I was having trouble following the “big picture” of the study today and rediscovered the Value of using the “Notes and Outlines” while listening. The structure, comments, and bible references he refers to are all at my fingertips through the “miracle of multitasking” on my phone. I can listen, follow the scripture, and see the outline!
This way I can get a clearer picture of how God WILL use suffering to discipline me and keep me close to him. . .just like He did with the Thesalonians!
