[8] And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
I understand that the “spirit of his mouth” refers to no less than the Word of God, otherwise described as the Sword of the Spirit :
Ephesians 6:17 KJV
[17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: **
The point is made that its the Study of the Bible is our weapon to resist the evil one and is essential to do so. That’s my Takeaway Today.
