We get a great picture today in Jeremiah of what the word backsliding means, as applies to Judah. Can you see the calf, stiff legged, refusing to go where he’s led?
My Takeaway Today, though, is from something McGee mentioned about what Jesus brought to the table in our relationship with Him. In the new Testament, we are given the position and name as children/sons of God. I’d never noticed that all followers of God in the Old Testament were called Gods servant, even Moses and David.
Thank You Dear Heavenly Father for bringing us to such a priveledged position as Your sons, through the Amazing sacrifice of Your Son Jesus Christ!
