We often conflate prosperity with God’s blessings. If you look at Israel at this time, they couldn’t be further from God!
Apparently, Hoseas warnings here fell on deaf ears, just like it doesn’t seem to affect us in our country today.
Have you noticed that people seem more apt to turn to God in times of disaster like 9/11. Remember people flocking to churches and reaching out to God? It didn’t last long did it?
We are no better than the folks Hosea prophesied to.
