The point is Don’t play dice with God! We know what is right and wrong. If we are blessed by Him, but are living in sin, like it makes no difference, we eventually WILL LOSE!! God is merciful and patient but His Mercy has limits, and judgment eventually comes. We need to be careful that we do not push those limits like Hosea’s people did!
Is that what is happening here today? I had a preacher suggest something to me about a friend that he wanted me to “date” that . . . Better ask me in person on that one, but it sure raised questions in my mind about what has happened to even “Christian” standards in our country.
