At first, I was confused. The jumping ahead to introduce Amos to us through his conversation with Amaziah in chapter 7 was a novel approach for McGee! Did you notice how McGee put himself up alongside Amos as an illustration of being called by God? My prayer today is for a similar clarity of purpose for myself like Amos had.
