I loved the “Prodigal Pig” story based on these verses. It has a special meaning for me. As a young adult I decided to give the “pig pen” a try. Everyone there seemed to have such a good time wallowing in the mud, and I wanted to have a good time too!
The problem was, I couldn’t seem to be able to enjoy it as much as I wanted, or as much as everyone else seemed to be enjoying it, even though I asked God to “just leave me be to enjoy it too!”
Praise Him, He didn’t!
I learned that once you are His Son, nothing else will satisfy!
I hope you enjoy today’s study and learn the joys, and benefits of being a Son!
