1John 1:5-7
I loved the description of God as light. There are so many things we don’t really understand about it but the comparison really helps us understand Him more.

1John 1:1-4
1 John 1:4 KJV[4] And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. https://bible.com/bible/1/1jn.1.4.KJV How does that Joy begin to be fulfilled? By fellowship with God and with our fellow believers around The Father and his Son, Jesus. That is the overarching purpose of this blog, to gather around his Word,…

Introduction to 1 John.
I love when an author tells you “straight out” his purpose in writing. That’s why I like John, he is always telling us why “These things are written that . . . . “ Join me reading and listening to find out these reasons!

Jonah 4
Jonah hated Ninevites so much that it really “chapped” him to think that God would save them. Listen to today’s conclusion in the study of Jonah. You will get a good taste of McGees dry humor and a comforting lesson in Gods Saving mercy and grace! Ttb.org

Jonah 3:9,10
I learned an important truth today. When God gives us a choice of action He acts based on our choice. If choice A brings one reaction and choice B another, do we say God changed when we change our choice, and hence His reaction? For example, He says “be good. . .I’ll bless” “Be bad.…

Jonah 3:1,2
Todays study reveals Gods as a “God of many Second Chances!” I believe I’m alive today because many friends prayed for God to heal me from Cancer 7 years ago, and He did!! In the same way, God gave Jonah, and the Ninevites a second chance none of us deserved! Are we ready to “go…

Jonah 2:7-3:2
I don’t remember exactly how he got there, but it impressed on me that God accepts nothing less than perfection! So the statement, “Salvation is of the Lord” in verse 9 IS literal! He provides the perfection, we just accept or reject. What “rang out” for you today? ttb.org

Jonah 1:11-2:2
What do you think? Did Jonah die in the belly of the fish? Sheol IS the place of the dead where Jonah prayed from. What did you think of the “sawbound” prayer for salvation spoken in his illustration? Did it clarify this question for you too? Introduction to Jonah
Jesus believed Jonah existed, and that is enough for me. Do you believe that Jonah is a real person and his story true? I do. Let’s hang tight and read the first few chapters in preparation for more study. https://teachings-cdn.thruthebible.io/404b00a5-81de-4329-8ee8-34d0999466ce

The “Not So Bad Sin.”
Preaching from Obadiah we learn about the sin of Edom, The Pride of Life. The illustration of the drunk pig claiming he’d “never play the man”, again made me laugh. It also demonstrated how we can “go lower” than the animals in our rejection of God!

Q&A Saturday
I liked #8, I loved the roast in the oven illustration where what the fork (flesh) could not do the spatula (Holy Spirit) li is able to do! Listen and it will make sense to you.

Obadiah 1:4-9
Loved the jokes and poems McGee used comparing Pigs to people to point out what effect the “Pride of Life” has on people. We were made to Fellowship with God, and absent our true purpose leaves us lower than animals!
