Hebrews 10:26-39 “Despising”

I have a friend who prefers going to a Pentecostal church on Sunday but still goes to a Seventh Day Adventist church because she is afraid of breaking the old Testament Law! I don’t think that is the same as “despising Christ’s sacrifice” by continuing to sacrifice in the temple as those addressed in these verses,   but it IS  similar in that following the law is still relied on.    Have you come across examples of this mentality, that Christ is just not enough, and that we have to do something additional to really be saved?
